NOTICE: When fasteners are removed, always re in stall them at the same location from w hich they were
removed. If a fastener needs to be replaced, use the correct p a rt num ber fastener fo r that application. If
the correct p art num ber fastener is n ot available, a fastener o f equal size and strength (o r stronger) m ay
be used. Fasteners that are n o t reused, and those requiring thread locking com pound w ill be called out.
The co rre ct torque value m u st be used when in stallin g fasteners that require it. If the above conditions
are n o t followed, p arts o r system damage could result.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The (LuK LF 93) series power steering pump is a
ciple components of the pump consist of the body,

DISASSEMBLY
N O T IC E : R e p a ir th e p u m p in a c le a n ,
d ust-fre e lo c a tio n , u s in g clean to o ls and
e q u ip m e n t. D ir t o r g r it w ill dam age the
m achined surfaces and result in leakage o r
damage to the pum p. The hydraulic system
should be disassembled, inspected, cleaned,
and flushed before servicing is complete. •
Important
• To ensure correct reassembly, record or mark all
information as specified in the procedure. Place
parts in an orderly manner on the kraft paper to
avoid mixing the parts during assembly. Discard
the shaft seal, O-rings and gaskets removed during
disassembly.
Clean
• Exterior of pump with solvent.
• Tip the pump to drain oil from the intake tube.
• Rotate the shaft to remove oil from the internal
cavities.
• Use the pump mounting bracket or flange to clamp
the pump assembly to a bench vise (housing end
up), use protective jaws.
NOTICE: LuK (LF 93) series pum ps have alu
m inum housing and parts. Care sh ou ld be
taken when handling alum inum p ow er steer
