THROTTLE BODY REASSEMBLY
FUEL METER BODY
Install or Connect (Figures 2 and 3)
FUEL METER COVER
Install or Connect (Figures 2 and 3)

1. New throttle body to fuel meter body gasket.; Match
cut-out portions in gasket with openings in throttle
body.
2. Fuel meter body assembly on throttle body assem-
' bly.
3. Fuel meter body-to-throttle body attaching screw
assemblies, precoated with Loctite #262 or equiva­
lent.
Tighten
C • Screw assemblies to 4 N-m (30 in. lbs.).
4 Fuel inlet and outlet nuts with new gaskets to fuel
- meter body assembly.
Tighten
• Inlet nut to 40 N-m (30 ft. lbs.)
• Outlet nut to 29 N-m (21. ft. lbs.)
FUEL INJECTORS

Install or Connect (Figure 5)
1. New pressure regulator seal, fuel meter outlet pas­
sage gasket, and cover gasket.
2. Fue| Imeter cover assembly.

3. Attaching screw assemblies, precoated with Loctite
#262 or equivalent (Short screws are next to injec-
■ tors).; . ■
^ tighten •
• Screw assemblies to 3 N-m (28 in. lbs.).
PRESSURE REGULATOR
Inspect (Figure 6)

Pressure regulator valve seat in fuel meter body; for
pitting or nicks.
— If seat is damaged, replace the fuel meter body.
Install or Connect
1. New pressure regulator diaphragm assembly. Be
sure it is seated in groove in fuel meter body.
2. Regulator spring seat and spring into cover assem­
bly. :‘v 7'' "v-
3. Cover, assembly over diaphragm, lining up mount­
ing holes.
•Lubricate new lower (small) O-rings with clean
engine oil and push on nozzle end of injector until
it presses against injector fuel filter.
• Lubricate new upper (large) O-ring with clean
engine oil and install on injector cavity upper ledge.
Be sure O-ring is seated properly and flush with
top of fuel meter body surface.

• Injector, aligning raised lug on each injector base
with notch in fuel meter body cavity. Push down on
injector until it is fully seated in fuel meter body
(figure 5). (Electrical terminals of injector should be
' parallel with throttle shaft).

4. Four regulator cover attaching screw assemblies
coated with Loctite #262 or equivalent, while keep­
ing pressure regulator compressed.
’•^Tighten
• Cover attaching screws to 2.4 N-m (21 in. lbs.).
