Display Assembly

Replacing the Display Assembly

Dash 3000 Display Assembly

1. Remove the handle assembly. Refer to page 8-7.

2. Remove the display assembly from the main unit. Refer to page 8-9.

3. Replace the defective display assembly.

4. Reassemble the monitor in reverse order.

Dash 4000 with the Sharp Display Assembly

CAUTION

FLEX CABLE DAMAGE — DO NOT kink, pinch, 
stretch, twist, or tightly fold a flex cable.

1. Remove the handle assembly. Refer to page 8-7.

2. Remove the display assembly from the main unit. Refer to page 8-9.

3. Remove the new display flex from the package and carefully install it 

on the display assembly.

NOTE

You will need a thick book or some heavy object to support the 
display assembly while you attach the display flex to the main 
unit.

a. Insert the flex cable connector into the display connector as 

shown in the figure below.

b. Using two of the flathead M3X6LG screws from the kit, secure 

the flex cable to the display assembly.
