Sending a Fax Manually
1
Load the document(s) face up with top edge in first into the DADF.
OR
Place a single document face down on the document glass, and close the document cover.

Press the ( Fax ) button.

Adjust the document resolution to suit your fax needs.

OnHook
, and then press the button.

, and then press the button.

Enter the remote fax machine's fax number using the number pad.
You can also select the recipient by using speed dial number or address book.

NOTE:
• You can enter a fax number using the ten key, *, and #.
• Pressing the
( Redial/Pause )
button enables you to enter a pause in the fax number.
• Entering "=" in the fax number enables dial tone detection.
• Entering ":" enables you to switch dialing type from dial pulse (DP) to push button (PB).

If the document is loaded in the DADF, press the ( Start ) button.
If the document is not loaded in the DADF, press the ( Start ) button, press the or button until the
desired setting appears, and then press the button.
NOTE:
• By pressing the
( Stop )
button, you can cancel the fax job at any time while sending the fax.
