5. Adjust the optics of the Compact Vision System so that
the camera image sharply depicts the check part. Adjust
the lens focus accordingly. In SBOC, the protective lens
barrel must be removed for this purpose.
Note
In SBO...-Q-R3, changes to system parameters relevant
to creation of the image may only take effect or become
apparent in the second image after the changes were
made (not evident from the “Live Image” window).
For devices SBO...-Q-R3, always take an additional (un­
used) image after you have changed these parameters.
A “Siemens star” is provided in this manual as a template for
setting the image sharpness (

turn the focus ad­
juster on the rear of
the camera housing. 1. Loosen the locking screw on the lens.
2. Turn the focus ring to focus on an object.
3. Tighten the locking screw again slightly.

the sensor has enough light available.
