IP address of the MLC and the TCP/
IP port number (2001 through 2003)
of the serial port (on that same MLC
unit) that are used, as shown in the
screen at right and figure 17 below.

. The DataViewer commands window opens.

Type serial commands into the Commands area in the left of the window to send serial
commands directly to the attached AV device through the selected COM port.

To end the direct access session, close DataViewer.

You can force the direct access session closed by logging on to the MLC as
an administrator and entering

Saving and Uploading the Configuration
This is not an advanced configuration function, but when you finish creating the configuration
in Global Configurator, you must save the GC project and upload the configuration to one or
more MLCs. See the
Global Configurator Help
file for instructions.
