4.1
Introduction
4.1.1
Personnel Qualifications
The plant may only be installed, assembled and commissioned by professional tech-
nical personnel or those with comparable knowledge of the mechanical, pneumatical
and electrical aspects. Training or instruction is absolutely necessary and can only
be done by the EPM Handels AG company or by persons authorized by!
4.1.2
Safety Specifications
STOP - keep residual dangers in mind:
First read Chapter 2 “Safety” and follow all given instructions!
STOP - Follow the general safety specifications:
In addition to the safety specifications in chapter 2, the technical safety specifica-
tions (pneumatic system, gas, electrical system etc.) as well as the country-specific
and region-specific specifications must be followed!

The instructions must be followed when changing the flux barrel or when flushing
the system. In case of non-compliance, pressure can build up in the system, which
can result in loosening of a hose joint, the escape of corrosive fluid (fluxer) and
therefore to skin irritation, eye injuries and damage to clothing. Requirement: Use
safety glasses.
CAUTION
When the fluxer cover and the air locks are open, do not reach into the tunnel! The
automatically closing lock flap can cause crushing of hands or arms.
CAUTION:
The hot zones can remain to be hot for a certain time even after the automatic sol-
dering machine has been switched off. The hot covering plates should be touched
only with protective gloves (for removing and cleaning). They are heavy and could
cause injuries to the feet or legs when being dropped.
