8.8 Solder Bath
8.8.1.1 Dismantling and Installation of the Heaters
Caution
At any time, only half of the heaters may be removed from the solder-filled
solder bath. Before removing the second half, the first lot that has been dis-
mantled must be inserted and installed again. This prevents a situation in
which the solder hardens and can then only be melted again with a welding
torch!
During the cleaning of the solder container (part
4503) or the solder bath heaters, care must be taken
to ensure that the heaters (parts 4536 L+R,4537
L+R, 4538 L+R) are installed in such a way that they
get fixed by the heater hold-down devices mounted
on the front side of the solder container.
Check
When the machine is filled with solder, the hold-
down devices are not visible. For this reason, after
installation of the heaters has been done, lift the
heaters on the front side of the solder container with
a suitable tool (e.g. a bent chromium steel wire) to
check whether the heaters have been mounted cor-
rectly.
