Turn the outer bush of the tensioners
and check the wear of the inner
bearing. If the bearing rotates with
difficulty or shows excessive play,
change the tensioner.
CASINGS
Cleaning the casings
Clean off all signs of sealant.
Thoroughly wash and clean all inner
ducts removing any blockages or
obstructions and then dry with
compressed air.
Visually check the casing.
Place the casing on a reference
surface and check that the mating
surfaces are perfectly flat. If the
surfaces are uneven, grind them
with a grinding solution ( 6-12
micron
) as described in “Cylinder
Head”.
Check that the bearings are in good
condition. To change the bearings,
follow the instructions given in
“Main bearings”.
Ruotando la bussola esterna dei
tenditori, verificare lo stato di usura
del cuscinetto interno. Sostituire il
tenditore che presenti difficoltà di
rotazione o gioco eccessivo.
SEMICARTER MOTORE
Pulizia carter
Eliminare ogni traccia di sigillante.
Lavare accuratamente tutte le
canalizzazioni interne, eliminando
eventuali strozzature od ostruzioni;
asciugare con aria compressa quindi
procedere ad un accurato controllo
visivo dei semicarter.
Controllare, su di un piano di
riscontro, che le superfici di
accoppiamento siano perfettamente
piane. In caso contrario, applicare
sospensione diamantata (spessore
6÷12 micron ) e ripassare la
superficie nel modo descritto al
capitolo “Testa”.
Controllare che i cuscinetti siano in
ottimo stato. In caso di sostituzione,
seguire la procedura descritta al
capitolo “Cuscinetti di banco”.
