X1X2 difference programming (option)
This option serves to determine the X1 and X2 axes positions from the required backgauge
positions. It means that the user can program the required backgauge positions in the data edit
mode and the control will automatically calculate the necessary axis values. This feature can be
used with a crossbeam system or a console system. For this matter, a system with a relative X2-
axis may also be considered as a console system. There should also be a Z1- and Z2-axis
installed.
There are two ways to program X1X2 difference:
- angular method
- projection method
These methods can be chosen in menu 11 with the program constant ‘X1X2 difference
programming’.
Angular method
With the angular method, the finger positions can be programmed with an angle value and the
distance between the two fingers. The angle is defined as the angle between the bend line and the
fingers of the crossbeam.
These values can be programmed in data edit mode in a special pop-up window. This pop-up
window can be activated through a softkey ‘gauge func’ that is only available when the cursor is
placed on X or X2. Values of either X1 or X2 can be adjusted according to this cursor position.
