Inlets & Chimney Dampers

6.4.1 Principle of Operation

6.4.1.1

Inlets and Chimney Dampers’ Operation

The opening/closing of chimney dampers and air inlets is linked with the activation of

the fan stages. The user sets an inlet and a damper opening associated with each fan

stage. When the start temperature of a fan stage is reached, the inlets and damper

reach the opening associated with that stage.

During the minimum ventilation cycles:

When the fans are off: the inlets/dampers are at the opening defined for stage 0.

When the fans are on: the inlet/damper are at the opening defined for stage 1.

With Variable Outputs:

If variable stages are used, two additional openings must be set: an opening corre-

sponding to the beginning of the variable fan stage and an opening that is reached

when the variable fan stage attains its maximum speed.
