10. RELATIVE HUMIDITY (RH) CONTROL
10.1 Principle of Operation
The controller offers different way to compensate for high/low humidity levels in the
room. This section describes the operation of each humidity control method. Refer to
section 4.4 to activate the relative humidity compensation functions.
10.1.1 RH Compensation on the Minimum Ventilation Speed
The humidity level can be
decreased by increasing the fan
speed during the minimum
ventilation cycles. The minimum
ventilation fan speed increases
gradually as the humidity level in
the room increases above the rela-
tive humidity (RH) set point. The
entire compensated speed reached
when the humidity level exceeds
the RH set point by 10%. A se-
curity function is also available to
disable this function when the
room temperature gets cold.
Outdoor Humidity Level:
The RH compensation on the minimum ventilation speed is disabled whenever the
outdoor humidity level exceeds the RH set point. This is done automatically if an
outside humidity probe is activated (s.4.4).
10.1.2 RH Compensation with Heating Outputs
The humidity level can be
decreased by the activation of
heating units. The heaters are
activated according to a timer
(On Time & Cycle Time).
Outdoor Humidity Level:
The RH compensation using
heating outputs is disabled
whenever the outdoor humid-
ity level exceeds the RH set
point. This is done automati-
cally if an outside humidity
probe is activated (s. 4.4).
