Locate the air cushion adjustment screw
at the end of the cylinder near the air inlet
valve (Figure
7-
78).
Turn the screw 1/8 to 1/4 turn clockwise
to increase the air cushion.
If necessary, lower the front access guard
back into position. Make sure it is se-
cure.

Tighten the Inner Band
Vibration in the outer band of the rodless air
cylinder indicates the inner band in loose and
must be tightened. Because three parts must be
manipulated at the same time, this procedure
should be performed by two workers.
Required Tools
small slotted screwdriver, metric Allen
wrenches, clean lint-free cloth, ladder
Perform only when the unit is OFF
with power disconnected.
NOTE: This procedure should
be performed by two workers.
Turn power OFF at the main disconnect
switch.
Turn OFF the compressed air supply to
the unit.
Make sure the compressed air system is
depressurized.
Raise the front access guard and secure in
position using the provided bracket arms
(Figure
7-
69).
Manually move the rodless air cylinder so
that it is about 6” (15 cm) from the forward
end of its travel (Figure
7-
79).
