Replace Rodless Air Cylinder

Perform only when the unit is OFF
with power disconnected.
NOTE: This procedure requires
Repair Kit 11” Rodless Air Cylinder
(part #0208-491).
Turn power OFF at the main disconnect
switch.
Turn OFF the compressed air supply to
the unit.
Make sure the compressed air system is
depressurized.
Carefully measure the distance from the
back edge of the rodless center mounting
bracket to the back of the cylinder itself
(Figure 4-28). Write the information
down. This is important to ensure proper
re-installation.
Remove the four bolts which secure the
transfer clamp assembly to the rodless air
cylinder (Figure 4-29).
Carefully place the assembly, with its at-
tached air hoses on the air foil.
Remove the air hoses connected to the
rodless air cylinder (Figure 4-30, A).
Remove the 8 screws, nuts and washers
(four on the front end, four on the back end
Figure 4-30, B) which secure the rodless
air cylinder to its bracket.
Remove the rodless air cylinder from the
machine and place on a work table.
