Interconnected Stop Circuit (Option)
Operation Notes
If the unit is part of a line with the Interconnected
Stop Circuit option, it will automatically shut
down whenever any red safety STOP button on
any machine in the line is pressed.
Before any machine on the line can
be restarted, the pressed safety STOP
button must be reset.
After a shut down, each unit in the line
must be re-started separately.
To run one unit independently of the
other units of the line, disconnect
its interconnect cable and install the
dummy plug which shipped with the
unit (Figure 3-8).
NOTE: Units can only operate
when they are connected to each
other, or with the dummy plugs.

Operating Controls section regarding
interpreting the indicator lights.

Restart the unit. After the CHI Panel com-
pletes its diagnostics, for about 3 seconds
the CHI Panel displays:
CHICAGO KING EDGE
TYPE XX XX PROGRAMS
The screen then displays:
02 KING SHEET COTTON
*AUTO XXX FPM CNT XXXXX
OR
02 KING SHEET COTTON
SPEED XXX FPM CNT XXXXX
In automatic operation, the speed of the
feeder is determined by the ironer.
In other applications, manually set the
speed with the

and

buttons so that
it is 0 to 5 FPM (0 - 1.5 m/min) less
than the speed of the ironer.
The spreader/feeder is now ready for
operation.
Note that if no STATION button is selected,
the display will show:
FEEDER OFF
In this case, the machine will be running in a
stand-by state until either a STATION button or
the BYPASS button is pushed.
