Locate the finger assist pressure regulator
under the right station lift motor (Figure
7-91) and make sure it is set to no more
than 30 psi (205 kPa).
If this is already the setting and damage
is still occurring, lower each regulator to
25 psi (175 kPa).
Reverse Step 7 and release the SV21
air solenoid screw by turning it 1/4 turn
counterclockwise.
Reverse Step 5 and release the left main
solenoid valve screw by turning in 1/4 turn
counterclockwise.
Manually bend the brackets so that the
fingers are contact the upper edge of the
air foil as intended.
Start the unit and run several pieces to test
the adjustment.

Air Foil Adjustment
Because it helps ensure a smooth lay down of
flatwork, the air foil is critical to proper operation
of the machine.
If lay down becomes erratic, it may be because
a heavier material is being processed or it may
be that, over time, the air foil has slipped slightly
out of position.
Note that if flatwork corners are not being
consistently being laid down properly, it could
also be a problem with the CORNER STOP DLY
setting in the CHI Panel.
CAUTION
Do not make any
adjustments to the air foil
without first consulting the
factory service department.
Required Tools
1/2”, 9/16” wrenches
Perform only when the unit is OFF
with power disconnected.
Turn power OFF at the main disconnect
switch.
Open the left endframe door.
Locate the air foil positioning bolt (Figure
7-92, A).
