CAUTION
Be careful not to completely
remove the inner band
retaining screw.
Loosen the inner band retaining screw
(Figure
7-
83, A). Be careful not to remove
it completely.
Have one worker hold back the outer band
(Figure
7-
83, B) while the other uses the
end of a clean Allen wrench or similar tool
to press the end of the inner band firmly
against the air cylinder end cap (C) and
tightens the inner band retaining screw.
Wipe the work area with a clean lint-free
cloth to make sure no dirt or debris in left
in the cylinder.
Reposition the outer band and secure with
the retaining screw removed in Step 7.
Replace the protective cap removed in
Step 6.
Lower the front access guard back into
position. Make sure it is secure.
WARNING
It will be necessary to stand
on a sturdy ladder to perform
these next steps. A fall could
cause personal injury and/or
damage to the machine.
Use extreme caution!
Repeat Steps 5 to 14 for the other end of
the cylinder.
