Instrument and Maintenance Indicator 1-90 

information display on the right side 
turns red, it means that the 
corresponding tire is in the state of 
rapid air leakage.   

When tire pressure fault warning light 
is turned on, and meanwhile, there is 
one or more numerical values in the 
tire pressure display interface of the 
information display on the right side 
turns yellow, which means that the 
corresponding tire is in the state of 
overpressure or underpressure 
shortage.   

If any one of the above-mentioned 
cases takes place, Please contact 
BYD authorized service station to 
inspect the vehicle as soon as 
possible.   

13.  ESP System Warning Light

 

This light will be turned on when the 
START button is at 

―ON‖. If ESP 

system operates normally, this light 
will go out after a few seconds. After 
that, if there is a fault in the system, 
this light will be turned on once again 
until the system fault is removed. 

 

If ESP system warning light blinks 

during driving, it means that ESP 
system is operating.   

When ESP system warning light is 
turned on (ABS system warning light 
and parking brake fault warning light 
are off), ESP vehicle stability control 
fails to function, but anti-lock braking 
system and braking system will still 
operate normally.   

When ESP system warning light is 
turned on (ABS system warning light 
and parking brake fault warning light 
are off), because the vehicle stability 
control system stops operating, the 
vehicle will be extremely unstable in 
emergency turning or avoiding the 
obstacles ahead.   

If any of the following case occurs, it 
means that there is a fault with the 
parts monitored by the warning light 
system, and Please contact BYD 
authorized service station to inspect 
the vehicle as soon as possible:   

 

This light will not illuminate or 
continue illuminating when the 
START button 

is at ―ON‖.   

 

This light will remain on during 
driving.   

During operation, temporary 
illumination does not mean any fault. 
During driving, blinking of the warning 
light indicates that the system is 
operating.   

14.  Check the Maintenance 

Indicator   

1. 

Pull the parking brake. 

2. 

Open one car door. 

3. 

Close the car door. Car door 
opening warning light goes out.   

4. 

Press one-button START button, 
but do not start the engine.   

All maintenance indicators will be 
turned on except for the car door 
opening warning light. ―ABS‖ warning 
light goes out a few seconds later. 
SRS warning light goes out a few 
seconds later.   

If any of the maintenance indicators or 
warning buzzers does not operate in 
accordance with the above-mentioned 
requirements, drive your car to BYD 
authorized service station for 
inspection as soon as possible.
