6. Put the new washer on oil drain bolt,
then screw the bolt tightly again.
7. Refill the recommended engine oil.
8. Install the engine oil filler cap and
start the engine. Engine oil the
pressure indicator should be turned
off in 5 seconds. If the indicator is not
turned off, then close the engine and
check the above operations.
9. Start the engine, check the oil drain
bolt and filter for oil leakage when the
normal temperature is reached.
10. Power off the engine and check
the engine oil level after waiting for 3
minutes. Refuel the engine oil to the
upper limit mark of the dipstick if
necessary.
NOTICE
The engine oil might have an adverse
impact on environment if improperly
disposed. In case of changing the
engine oil on your own, please keep
the used oil properly in an enclosed
container, and return it to the
recycling center. Do not discard it in a
dustbin or pour it to the ground.
Cooling System
Check the level of engine coolant
If the coolant level in auxiliary water
tank is at or below the lower (MIN)
scale line, refuel the coolant to the
upper (MAX) scale line. Check the
cooling system for leakage.
Always use the coolant specified by
BYD.No mixture is needed. Mixed use
of antifreeze fluids of different brands
and models are not advised.
WARNING

Opening radiator cap before
engine is not cooled down,
might cause the coolant to spray
out, thus leading to severe
scalding.

Make sure the engine and
radiator is cooled down before
opening the radiator cap.
