Seats, Seat Belts, Steering Wheels, Rearview Mirrors and Sunroof 1-46
The airbag system is monitored by
electronic control unit, and possesses
self-diagnostic function, indicating
system status via warning lamp for
airbags on dashboard.
● ‗Start/Stop‘ button is behind
IGNITION ON mode, warning lamp for
airbags is on for about 5 seconds,
then it is off and lasts for over 5
seconds, indicating the system is
normal.
● If airbag has been closed by
services station authorized by BYD
AUTO, the warning lamp still works in
the same way as the above
mentioned, but has not possessed
protection function.
This warning lamp system is used for
monitoring airbag ECU, crash sensor,
inflation mechanism, warning lamp,
wiring and power supply.
NOTICES
If the following situations happen, it
indicates there is fault in airbag
system:

‗Start/Stop‘ button is behind
IGNITION ON mode, and
warning lamp is not on.

‗Start/Stop‘ button is behind
IGNITION ON mode, and
warning lamp is not off 5
seconds later or it is on again
after it is off.

‗Start/Stop‘ button is behind
IGNITION ON mode, and
warning lamp is on.
 Warning light is on or flashes
when the vehicle is in motion.
FRIENDLY TIPS
If a fault occurs, go to services
station authorized by BYD AUTO for
checking airbag system. Otherwise,
in the event of accident, normal
function or all function of airbag will
be affected.
Indicator for not fastening seat belt
on co-
driver’s seat
If the Suri car you bought is equipped
with seat belt alarm sensor, an
indicator for not fastening seat belt on
co-
driver‘s seat will be seen on
multi-function display.
It is used along with seat belt, when
passenger sits on co-
driver‘ seat
And the passenger does not fasten
seat belt, this indicator is on and
accompanied with warning tone to
remind driver and passenger.
After front passenger fastens seat belt,
this indicator is off. If there is no
passenger on co-
driver‘s seat, this
indicator is off.
