Precautions for Storage Battery: 

 

Storage battery can produce 
combustible and explosive 
hydrogen.   

 

Do not make storage battery 
produce sparks when using the 
tools.   

 

Do not smoke or strike a match 
nearby the storage battery.   

 

Electrolyte contains toxic and 
corrosive sulfuric acid.   

 

Prevent the eyes, skin or clothes 
from coming into contact with 
the electrolyte.   

 

Do not drink electrolyte by 
accident.   

 

It is necessary for you to wear 
safety goggles when working 
near the storage battery.   

 

Keep the children away from the 
storage battery.   

 
Please examine the detection 
indicator hole on the storage battery 
to check the status of the storage 
battery. The implications of various 
colors of the detection indicator hole 
are marked on the storage battery 
labels.   

Please check the corrosion degree 
(white or light yellow powder) of the 
battery terminals. To remove it, you 
should apply bicarbonate of soda 
water on the terminal surface. The 
terminals will produce bubbles and 
gradually turn brown. After no bubble 
comes out, wash the terminals with 
clear water and wipe them with cloth 
or tissue. Finally, grease shall be 
applied on the terminal surface to 
avoid further corrosion.   

If the terminals are seriously corroded, 
you need to first wash them with 
bicarbonate of soda water and then 

unscrew them with the wrench, and 
finally take the cables down from the 
terminals. Please remember well that 
the cathode (-) cable must be 
disconnected at first. When 
reconnecting, the cathode (-) cable 
needs to be connected at last. Please 
clean the terminals with cleaning tools 
for terminal or wire brush, reconnect 
the cables and tighten them, and then 
apply the grease on the terminal 
surface. 

EMERGENCY MEASURES 

 

 

Wash your eyes with clear water 
immediately and see a doctor at 
once in case that electrolyte is 
splashed into your eyes. If 
possible, please keep washing 
the eyes on the way to hospital 
with wetted sponge or clean 
cloth. 

 

If the electrolyte is splashed on 
the skin, wash it thoroughly. If a 
pain or the burnt is felt, 
immediately go to the doctor. 

 

If electrolyte is splashed on the 
clothes, it is likely to touch the 
skin through infiltration. Take off 
your clothes at once and repeat
