Driving Tips of BYD Suri2-4
1. Shift to parking gear or neutral gear
and set manual brake. Pull up the
opening handle of engine hood that
lies at the left side of engine body
under the instrument panel, and then
the engine hood will bounce slightly.
2. Stand in front of the vehicle, insert
your finger under the front edge of the
hood in the middle-right position, and
then move your finger to the left and
you would touch the engine hood
latch. Push the latch upward until it
releases the hood, and then open the
hood.
3. Uplift the engine hood and brace
the engine hood with a jackstay.
When closing the engine hood, put it
down until about 30cm above the mud
guard and press it down with both
hands.
After closing the engine hood, check
the latch whether it is locked securely
or not.
If the engine hood can be opened
without toggling the latch or the
engine hood latch cannot move in a
flexible way or cannot snap back into
place, clean the hood mechanism and
add oil.
FRIENDLY TIPS
Before driving, please confirm that the
engine hood has been closed and
locked tightly. Otherwise, the engine
hood might be opened suddenly
during driving and cause an accident.
Checking the engine oil
Engine oil is a consumable that can
ensure the normal running of the
engine. Therefore, the oil level shall
be checked regularly, for example, in
the case of refueling. Engine oil shall
also be checked before every long
trip.
Engine oil consumption depends on
driving condition, weather condition
and road condition. The new engine
fuel consumption may be higher.
Ensure that the engine is preheated
and the vehicle is parked on level
ground, then turn off the engine, and
after three minutes, check the oil
level.
