Parking Brake 

Parking control mechanism 

Setting 

 

Release   

 

When parking, pull up the parking 
control mechanism tightly to avoid 
inadvertent sliding after the car stops.   

Setting: Pull up the parking brake 

handle. To obtain better retention, 
firstly step on the brake pedal, and 
hold it until the parking brake control 
mechanism is pulled up. 

Release: (1), pull up the parking brake 
handle gently; (2), press the lock 
release button; (3), put down the 
parking brake control mechanism.   

To alert that parking brake is set, 
parking brake indicator light on the 
instrument panel will remain on until 
the parking brake control mechanism 
is released.   

FRIENDLY TIPS

 

Before driving, confirm parking brake 
is fully released and parking brake 
indicator light went out. 

 

Electronic Parking Brake 
(EPB) (If equipped) 

Traditional handbrake is replaced by 
the electronic parking brake.

shall be guaranteed in pull-up state.
