Anti-Corrosion and Body Exterior Maintenance5-3 

Check the interior car. 

Check places under the floor mat 
frequently and make sure it‘s dry as 
moisture and dust are easily 
accumulated here and cause 
corrosion of the car. 

Take special caution when delivering 
chemical substances, cleaning agent, 
chemical fertilizer, salt, etc., and be 
sure to use proper containers to carry 
them. If they are splashed out or 
leaked, clean the container and keep 
it dry. 

Use mud guard. 

Travelling in areas with salt and alkali 
or on road with gravel, the car can be 
protected by mud guard. Large-size 
mud guard, which is closer to the 
ground, is preferred. 

The small mud guard for BYD Suri 
wheels is optional. The BYD 
authorized service stations are ready 
to install mud guard for users. 

 

 

Park the car in well ventilated 
garage or places with a roof, but 
not in garage that is humid and 
airtight. 

If the car is washed in the garage or 
runs on the road with water or snow, it 
is easy to cause the garage be humid 
and car corrosion. 

The car may also be corroded if the 
garage can‘t ventilate well although it 
is dry. 

 

 

Tips on Maintenance of Paint 
Surface 

Pay attention to the following points 
during use and maintenance of car: 

(1) Remove the dust on car body 
timely before, during and after driving 
the car in order to reduce the dust 
adsorbed under the electrostatic 
interaction on car body. 

(2) Wash the car after it rains. After 
raining, the rain stain on car body will 
shrink to smaller ones and the 
concentration of acidic material in the 
stain will gradually increase, if they 
are not cleared away with clean water 
as quickly as possible, the coat of 
painting will be damaged as time 
goes. 

(3) Wash the car after its engine cools. 
Don‘t wash the car under burning sun 
or high temperature in order to avoid 
signs left on car body after the 
detergent is dried up. Use special 
detergent and neutral running water 
instead of high-alkalinity detergent, 
suds and liquid detergent to wash the 
car on your own, otherwise, the
