that tire pressure shall be measured
after the car is parked for at least 3
hours. If you must drive the car before
the tire pressure is measured, the tire
can still be considered as ―cold‖ as
long as the driving range is less than
1.6 km.
If tire pressure is checked when the
tires are at hot state (after running
several kilometers), the reading will
be 30-40 kPa (0.3-0.4 kgf/cm
2
) higher
than that in cold state. This is normal,
so please do not deflate the tire in
order to reach the specified tire
pressure reading in cold state, which
will result in insufficient tire pressure.
You should prepare a tire gauge to
check the tire pressure each time. In
this way, it is easier to judge whether
the reduction in tire pressure is
caused by tire itself or the difference
among various tire gauges.
FRIENDLY TIPS
Recommended tire pressure of cold
state is marked in the tire pressure
information plate (pasted on the
driver's side doorframe).
Tubeless tire possesses self-sealing
function when it is punctured.
However, because air leakage is
generally very slow, leakage position
shall be carefully located as long as
the tire pressure begins to reduce.
Check
When checking the tire inflation state
every time, check whether the tire has
external damages, foreign penetration
and wear.
You should locate:
1. Damages and raised parts of the
tire tread or tire side. The tire shall be
replaced if any one of the
circumstances is detected.
2. Scratches, cracks or fracture of the
tire side. The tire shall be replaced if
the tire fabric or cords can be seen.
3. Excessive wear of the tire tread.
Wear signs are marked inside the tire
tread. When the tire is worn to this
position, you will see a banded mark
stretching across the tread, it means
the tire tread only has a thickness less
than 1.6 mm. For tires with such
wears, their adhesion to the slippery
road is poor.
The tire shall be replaced if three or
more wear signs on tire tread.
Maintenance
In addition to proper air inflation,
correct wheel alignment can also help
to reduce the wear of tire tread.
If the tire wear is uneven, please
