BYD AUTO strongly recommends that
both driver and passengers in the car
should fasten seat belt securely all the
time. Otherwise, it may increase the
possibility of injury or serious injury in
case of accident.
Seat belts in the car are designed for
adults; a certain age should be
reached so that the seat belt can be
correctly worn.
Child shall be arranged to sit at the
rear seat with seat belt fastened for
protection. According to accident
statistics, those children that are
properly protected on the rear seats
are safer than those sitting on the
front seats.
If a child has to sit on the front seat,
the seat belt shall be properly
fastened. If an accident occurs while
the seat belt is not fastened correctly,
impact force generated when
front-passenger airbag deploys will
cause serious injuries or death of the
child.
Either at the front seat or rear seat, no
child is allowed to stand up or kneel
down on it.The unprotected child will
get seriously injured or dead in
emergency braking or collision. Also,
do not let child sit on the one‘s legs,
which may lead to inadequate
protection for the child.
Emergency Locking (ELR) function
of seat belt:
belt webbing will
automatically be locked up for
effective restrain and protection of
passengers in case of sharp turning,
emergency braking, and collision or
when a passenger leans forward
abruptly. While when a car runs
steadily, webbing will wind out as
passengers slowly and steadily move,
and passengers are subject to free
movement.
Pre-tension and force limit function of
seat belt: when severe frontal collision
of vehicle occurs and trigger
conditions for pre-tensioner are met,
pre-tensioner quickly retracts parts of
the webbing and locks it up to
strengthen protection for passengers.
Force limiter will limit the binding force
that the webbing applies to body of
passenger within a certain range to
avoid injuries of passenger due to the
strong binding force.
Automatic Locking (ALR) function
of seat belt:
can be used to fix child
protection device. Pulling the webbing
out completely can activate locking
retractor function; after locking
retractor function is activated,
webbing can only retract and cannot
be pulled out, and there are
continuous ‗Click‘ sounds when it
retracts. After webbing finishes
retracting completely, automatic
locking function will be turned off, and
webbing can freely pull out the
rewind.

When fixing child protection
device via function of Automatic
Locking (ALR), make sure that
automatic locking function is
activated.

