Fuse
All the circuits in your vehicle are
equipped with fuses to prevent
short-circuit or overload. These fuses
are mounted in two fuse box.
The interior fuse box is located in the
instrument panel at the driver's side.
You can see the interior fuse box after
removing the lower left cover sheet of
the instrument panel.
The fuse box under the hood is
located in the left rear of the engine
compartment. You can press the lock
as shown in the figure to open it.
Inspecting and replacing the fuse
If an electrical device in the vehicle
stops working, first find the blown
fuse.
Determine which fuse (fuses) controls
(control) the component in
accordance with the diagram or the
location map on the fuse box: you
shall first check these fuses.
You shall check all the fuses before
you are sure that the fuse is blown
due to fault.
Replace all the blown fuses and then
check the operation of various
electrical components.
The specific operation is as follows:
1. Put the Start button in the OFF
position, and confirm that the
headlights and other accessories are
off.
2. Open the fuse box.
3. Measure the both ends of the fuse
with a multimeter when it is set in the
conduction position to determine
whether the fuse is blown or not, and
then inspect the thick fuses in the fuse
box under the hood.
Use a cross screwdriver to remove
these fuses.
