3. Install the spray pump flow control valve, hydraulic selector valve and electrical toggle switch by following the
instructions included with the kit. Install the open center solenoid valve in the sprayer hydraulic block.
Testing the Kit
1. Put approx. 100 gallons of water in the sprayer tank and open all pump
supply valves.
2. Close the sprayer boom electric ball valves.
3. Open the agitation valve.
4. Remove all safety pins securing the booms and safety cylinder straps.
5. Set the flow control lever to position # 3.
6. Turn the needle valve in the spray pump all the way in so that it is fully
closed. This will ensure that no oil passes by the pump needle valve.
7. With the electrical switch in the ‘OFF’position, activate the center boom
lift function on the joystick and ensure that all hydraulic fittings and
hoses are free of leaks.
8. Activate the electrical switch and ensure that the pumps starts turning.
Setting the tractor’s flow control valve (if present).
The tractor flow control valve should be operated in the fully open position directing all hydraulic oil to the
sprayer. This will ensure that unnecessary heat is not generated by the tractor circuit.
