5.9 DRAINING THE PLUMBING
Note: To prevent corrosion or damage to the plumbing components, drain the sprayer after seasonal use and
before freezing temperatures.
CAUTION!
Drain the sprayer only after it has been rinsed. Rinse the sprayer while it is still
in the field. Spray the rinse water thinly over the field which has just been
sprayed. Never contaminate the farmyard or water supply with sprayer rinse
water.
1. With the booms in field position, raise the centre boom to maximum height.
2. Open all the ball valves to drain the plumbing assemblies. Open the drain cock in the bottom of the pump. See
Fig. 5.10.
3. Remove the Line Strainer bowl and drain. Be prepared to catch any fluid that comes out of the bowl and the
strainer body. See Fig. 5.11.
