5.6 LINE STRAINER CLEANING
Note: To prevent nozzle plugging and down time while spraying, the line strainer should be cleaned daily.
CAUTION!
Use rubber gloves, protective eye wear and protective clothing when cleaning or working
with components covered with active chemical.
Follow the chemical manufacturer’s safety procedures when working with chemicals.
1. Close all valves on the plumbing assembly. Remove
the Bowl, Strainer and Seal.
Note: Be prepared to catch any fluids that drain when
the line strainer is removed.
2. Clean the strainer with clean water and dry with
compressed air not exceeding 40 psi (275 kPa).
3. Check the condition of the strainer and seal. Replace
if necessary.
4. Reattach the Bowl, Strainer and Seal to the sprayer.
5.7 WIND CONE & WIND SCREEN CLEANING
CAUTION!
Follow the chemical manufacturer’s safety procedure when working with chemicals.
Never contaminate the farmyard or fresh water source when cleaning the Wind Cones or
Wind Screens.
1. Weekly cleaning of the Wind Cones or Wind Screens will keep dust build- up to a minimum.
2. Rinse the Wind Cones or Wind Screens in the field. Rinse before any buildup of chemicals is allowed to dry.
Use a pressure washer and wash with clean water.
5.8 CHANGING THE
HYDRAULIC BLOCK
FILTER
1. Remove the large plug on the side of the Hydraulic
Block.
2. Remove and replace the filter cartridge.
3. Reinstall the the plug.
