Problem
High Oil Temperature.
Tractor Oil Temperature is
Overheating.
Possible Cause
Oil cooler in tractor is dirty or
plugged. Air flow through cooler is
restricted.
Pressure relief setting in tractor is
set too low and below system
requirements.
Tractor flow control device is
partially closed.
Needle valve in spray pump is
bypassing oil.
Flow control valve on sprayer is set
too far open and is increasing the oil
pressure in the circuit.
Incorrectly sized sprayer pump
motor for current tractor.
Boom solenoid valve in sprayer
hydraulic block is stuck open .
Open center valve in sprayer
hydraulic block is stuck closed and
is restricting oil flow.
Restriction in sprayer hydraulic
circuit .
NORAC Auto Boom Height
Controller is operating continuously.
Restriction in tractor hydraulic
circuit.
Possible Solutions
Clean oil cooler , tractor grill and
radiator.
Check and adjust pressure relief
setting. ( A setting greater than
2300 psi is preferred.)
Open tractor flow control device to
full open.
Turn needle valve in all the way
against valve seat.
Closed valve slightly.
Install sprayer pump with better fit
to tractor.
Determine if all sprayer boom
function are working properly. If
not, determine which solenoid is
stuck open and repair.
Ensure that Open Center Solenoid
is normally open when it is not
energized. Determine reason for
stuck valve and repair.
Check hoses for restriction, kinks
and plugged male tip.
Turn down sensitivity of controller.
Check hydraulic circuit for
restrictions,
plugged filters, plugged female
quick couplers,
kinked hydraulic hoses and lines.
