3.10 DISCONNECTING THE SPRAYER
DANGER!
NEVER
disconnect the sprayer when the booms are in field position and the tank is
empty. In this situation, the trailer has NEGATIVE HITCH WEIGHT and will rise abruptly.
Serious injury or death may result.
NOTE: If the sprayer is being parked for winter storage, perform the draining procedure. Refer to Section 5.8.
1. Select level ground to store the implement on. Be sure that wing booms are in full transport position.
2. If the sprayer is equipped with Suspension and Wind Screens, a block must be placed between the frame and
the axle housing to keep the trailer wheels from contacting the Wind Screens.
3. Move the jack to the vertical holder, close to the trailer hitch. Extend the jack until pressure on the tractor hitch
is relieved.
4. Relieve the oil pressure from the hydraulic circuit, disconnect the hydraulic hoses and store them in the holder
on the front of the trailer.
5. Unhook the safety chain and unplug the transport lights.
6. Disconnect the wiring harnesses (and the pressure line, if equipped) at the drawbar and store them in the holder
on the front of the trailer.
7. Remove the draw pin from drawbar tongue and carefully drive away.
DANGER
HITCH UPENDING HAZARD
Be certain no upward force is exerted on
the tractor hitch by the sprayer tongue to
prevent sprayer hitch from rising abruptly.
1. Always park sprayer on level ground.
2. Never disconnect tractor from the sprayer
while booms are in field position. Fold
booms into transport position before
disconnecting.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
