5.14 PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE ON THE HYDRAULIC
SOLENOID BLOCK
The Pressure Relief Valve is mounted on the back of the Hydraulic Solenoid Block. This valve is factory set at
5.25 turns out. This is the setting for sprayers with 80’ and 90’ booms. Sprayers equipped with 100’ booms must
have the relief valve adjusted to 4 turns out. This will be discussed below.
Two different relief valves have been used on the sprayer.
The chart below shows the serial number ranges in which
the valves are used. It shows the number of turns out
from all the way in that must be made to properly set the
valve for the age of the sprayer and the boom size.
If the relief valve must be adjusted, turn the screw in all
the way then back out the number of turns shown in the
chart.
To adjust the relief valve for a sprayer with 100’ booms,
turn the screw in all the way. Now back it out 4 turns.
This will set the relief for the 100’ booms.
