6.8 BOOM POSITION MICRO SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
The Boom Position Micro Switches are located on the top of the Centre Boom, next to the Main Hinge Pins.
These are the switches which regulate the boom alignment between the Outer Booms and the Centre Boom.
When the Switch Actuator is properly adjusted, the outer booms should be in line or slightly ahead of the centre
boom. Slightly ahead means approximately 6” - 12” ahead at the boom tip.
If the Boom is too far ahead:
a. Loosen the bolts holding the Switch Actuator and move the Actuator toward the rear of the machine. See Fig.
6.8. The Actuator can be moved by inserting a blade screw driver into one of the square holes in the mount
and pushing on the Actuator.
b. Retighten the Actuator bolts.
c. Fold the booms ahead into transport position, then back into field position. Readjust the Actuator if necessary.
If the Boom is too far back:
a. Loosen the bolts holding the Switch Actuator and move the Actuator toward the front of the machine. See Fig.
6.8. The Actuator can be moved by inserting a blade screw driver into one of the square holes in the mount
and pushing on the Actuator.
b. Retighten the Actuator bolts.
c. Fold the booms ahead into transport position, then back into field position. Readjust the Actuator if necessary.
