PRESSURE COMPENSATING CLOSED CENTER SYSTEM (PC)
Regulate the oil flow by using a RESTRICTOR ORIFICE. (Do not use flow limiter.)
Setup Instructions:
1. Install the restrictor orifice insert inside the adapter/restrictor body in the motor
inlet port.
2. Close the motor needle valve: loosen the jam nut, screw the needle valve
clockwise until seated, and lock the jam nut.
3. Set the “Rabbit/Turtle” flow control to “Rabbit’.
4. Move the hydraulic lever to the “Lower/Retract” position to start the pump.
5. Open the sprayer agitation valve to get the desired agitation flow.
6. Fully close the electric regulating valve.
7. Turn the electric ball valves on and adjust the throttle valve to have 30 psi more pressure at the spray tips than
will be used when spraying in the field.
OPEN CENTER SYSTEM (OC)
Select motor size closest to tractor’s hydraulic system capacity. Regulate
oil flow with Spray Pump Flow Control. Completely close the motor
NEEDLE VALVE. (Do not use a restrictor orifice or flow limiter.)
Refer to Section 3.5.2 of this manual before adjusting the pump.
Consult the instructions included with the Open Centre Tractor Hydraulic Kit before making any adjustments.
Setup Instructions:
1 . Shut off the sprayer boom electric ball valves, the thottling valve and agitation valve.
2. Open all pump supply valves ensuring there is water at the pump inlet.
3. Start the tractor and activate the hydraulic circuit.
4. Turn ‘ON’ the electrical switch that controls the pump selector valve.
5. Set the tractor throttle to the sprayer operating speed.
6. Adjust the flow control valve until the sprayer shutoff pressure is just below the maximum shown in the SHUTOFF
PRESSURE section on the previous page.
7. Open the sprayer throttle and agitation valve to get
the desired agitation flow.
8. Fully close the electric regulating valve.
9. Turn the electric ball valves on and adjust the flow
control valve to have 30 psi more pressure at the
spray tips than will be used when spraying in the field.
