Device Description
The VenaTech® RETRIEVABLE, Vena Cava Filter System is manufactured from a cobalt chromium alloy and is
pre-loaded in a dual approach cartridge for implantation via either a femoral, jugular, subclavian or brachial
approach using a 7F co-axial introducer system.
System contents
- 7F Introducer sheath with hemostasis valve and side port tubing (Fig. A)
- 7F Dilator (Fig. B)
- Pre-loaded filter in its cartridge (Filter : ø 40mm and Height : 53 mm) (Fig. C)
- Cartridge cradle (Fig. D)
- Short Pusher (Fig. E)
- Long Pusher (Fig. F)
- PTFE coated “J” guidewire, 1500 mm in length, 0.035” (0.89 mm) in diameter (Fig. G)

Instructions For Use
These Instructions For Use (IFU) are to be used
when implantation via the femoral approach has been
selected.
Set aside the manual provided for the other approaches prior to beginning the implantation
procedure.
Use of this device
The VenaTech® RETRIEVABLE, Vena Cava Filter System, should only be used by physicians who have
experience with the technical and clinical requirements of Vena Cava Filter implantation.
