Click the checkbox next to the sensor types to be forwarded. To select all sensor types on
the page, click the checkbox next to Sensor Type at the top of the list.

The Force Configuration Changes checkbox indicates whether the enable/disable
operation may overwrite existing entries in the BMC. By default, this feature is disabled -
the operation is non-destructive. However, if the BMC does not have sufficient internal
entries to handle the enable/disable configuration when you try to save it, the DSView 3
software will highlight this checkbox. Clicking
Force Configuration Changes
will cause
the enable/disable action to occur, even if existing entries in the BMC are disrupted.

10. The Adding BMC window will open, followed by the Completed Successful window. This
window will contain the results of the add operation.

Customizing the Appliance BMC Ports window
The following fields may be displayed in the Appliance BMC Ports window: Use the Customize
link to add or remove fields in the display. See
Using the Customize link in windows
on page 12.
•
Name - BMC name. Click on a name to display and change BMC information.
•
Address - BMC IP address in standard dot notation (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx).
•
Username - Username that will be used when communicating with the BMC.
•
Privilege Level - Privilege level of the BMC user, as specified in the BMC (administrator and
so on).
To display or change BMC identity settings:
1.
In a Units View window (see
Accessing Units View windows
on page 88), click on the name of
a DSI5100 appliance. The Unit Overview window will open.
2.
Click
Appliance Settings
in the side navigation bar, and then click
BMCs
. The Appliance BMC
Ports window will open.
3.
Click on the name of a BMC port.
Identity
will automatically be selected in the side navigation
bar and the BMC Identity window will open. The name of the BMC port will also appear under
the DSI5100 appliance name in the side navigation bar.
4.
Type a new name for the BMC.
5.
Type the IP address, in standard dot notation (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx), for the BMC.
6.
Click
Save
and then click
Close
. The Appliance BMC Ports window will open.
To display or change BMC credentials:
1.
In a Units View window (see
Accessing Units View windows
on page 88), click on the name of
a DSI5100 appliance. The Unit Overview window will open.
2.
Click
Appliance Settings
in the side navigation bar, and then click
BMCs
. The Appliance BMC
Ports window will open.
