Type an address in the
Primary NTP Server Address
and optionally, the
Secondary NTP
Server Address
field. The primary address is required if NTP is being enabled for the
first time.

Select or type the frequency for time updating in the
Update Interval (hours)
field. The
valid range is 0-99 hours. A zero value indicates that the time should be requested and the
clock updated when the CCM appliance reboots.
The NTP Status section will indicate that an update was attempted, not attempted, or is
in progress.
4.
Click
Save
and then click
Close
.
CCM/CPS Appliance Port Settings
Serial, power device and CLI ports may be displayed and managed for CCM and CPS appliances.
Certain features (such as NFS) are valid only on CCM appliance serial ports.
Serial over LAN (SoL) and port groups may be created, displayed and managed for CCM
appliances only.

on page 142.

port configuration.
CCM and CPS appliance physical serial ports
To display a list of CCM or CPS appliance physical serial ports or initiate a push/
pull name operation:
1.
In a Units View window containing appliances (see
Accessing Units View windows
on
page 88), click on the CCM or CPS appliance name.
2.
Click
Appliance Settings
in the side navigation bar and then click
Ports
and then click
Serial
.
The Appliance Serial Ports window will open.

To initiate a pull or push name operation (see
Name Synchronization
on page 103).

Click the checkboxes to the left of one or more device name(s). To select all names on the
page, click the box to the left of Appliance Name at the top of the list.

For a pull operation, click
Pull Name
.
c.
For a push operation, click
Push Name
.
Customizing the Appliance Serial Ports window
The following fields are always displayed in the Appliance Serial Ports window.
•
Port - Serial port number
•
Name in Appliance - Name of the serial port in the appliance
•
Name in DSView - Name of the serial port in the DSView 3 software database.
