Chapter 9 Serial Interface Specifications
(18) DMR/DMW (Number of cells of DataMatrix, Cell part setting)
Obtain (read) the number of cells of DataMatrix and cell part information.
Also used to write for arbitrary number of cells of DataMatrix and cell part.

s0: “Number of cells” number
s1: L shape symbol part number
s2: Cell part number
s3: Margin part number

Write (DMW t0,t1,t2,t3)
t0: “Number of cells” number (0 - 30)
t1: L shape symbol part number (0 - 65535)
t2: Cell part number (1 - 65535)
t3: Margin part number (1 - 65535)

Example
When setting the number of cells of DataMatrix to “8 × 32”, the L shape symbol part number to “none”,
the cell part number to “20002”, and the margin part number to “20003.”

When 0 is specified for the number of cells, it is automatically set.

ECC is fixed to 200.

Since the setting is stored in the memory card, it is effective even if the power
supply is turned off.

When the value out of the range is specified, NAK is returned.

When 0 is specified for the L shape symbol part number, no part is set.

For the part number specified for the L shape symbol, cell and margin parts, get it
by part filename with GNS command.

DMW command can be used only in the DataMatrix setting with the “Default” check
box on the barcode setting dialog box selected. For details, refer to the Operations
manual.
