Maintenance
If the initial laser output level cannot be restored despite adjusting the equipment and cleaning the
optics, increase the LD current setting. (The default LD current limit is about 50%.) If it fails to improve
laser output even after increasing the LD current to its limit, contact us to increase the LD current limit.
The LD current can be set up to 100%. When the rated output cannot be obtained even with 100%, the
LD has reached the end of its useful life and should be inspected or replaced.
Prepare to order a replacement FC-LD when you must increase the LD current to 90%.
■
FC-LD Warranty Period
When output of the FC-LD or diode laser declines and the specified laser output cannot be obtained
even after increasing the LD current to the maximum, the LD has reached the end of its useful life.
The FC-LD is warranted for a period of two years from the date of acceptance inspection or shipment of
a new FC-LD. Replacement FC-LDs provided while under warranty are covered until the original
warranty period expires, at which point replacement of an FC-LD at the end of its useful life incurs a fee.
A breakdown of the customer cost for replacement is shown below.
Note that operating the equipment at output levels exceeding the maximum permissible level will void
the warranty.
