9.3 Communication Codes
RS-232C communications with the marker involve exchange of ASCII data.
Up to 2048 bytes may be sent or received at a time, including STX and ETX.
If a transmission error occurs (parity errors, for example), the data is discarded.
Only after successful reception up to the point of ETX will an ACK, NAK, or the usual data be returned.
If the delimiter ETX is set to “ON,” the ETX can also be added to ACK and NAK. However, if more than
one second lapses between data signals received, all data received to that point will be discarded.
9.3 Communication Codes
Write commands (commands with "W" at the end) will generate an NAK response
during marking. Use the MSR command to confirm marking is not currently underway.
