Continuous, Single,
and Manual Sw eep
Operation
Con tinuous sw eep is the op eration mo de set when the sw ept
signal generator is preset. It simply means that when the sw ept
signal generator is p erforming a sw ept op eration, the sw eeps will
con tinuously sw eep-retrace-sw eep-retrace un til a dieren t sw eep mo de
is selected. T o c ho ose this sw eep mo de, press 4

T o c hange from con tinuous sw eep to single sw eep op eration, press
4 SINGLE 5. This causes the sw ept signal generator to ab ort the sw eep in
progress and switch to the single sw eep mo de. This initial k eystroke
causes the sw ept signal generator to switch sw eep mo des, but it
do es not initiate a single sw eep. A second k eystrok e (press 4
SINGLE
5)
initiates a single sw eep. When the sw ept signal generator is in single
sw eep op eration, the amb er LED ab o v e the k ey lights. When the
sw ept signal generator is actually p erforming a sw eep in single sw eep
mo de, the green SWEEP LED lights.
The man ual sw eep mo de lets y ou use the rotary knob to either sw eep
from the start frequency to the stop frequency or to sw eep p o w er.
