Description
This softkey lets y ou set the sw ept signal generator to lev el at the
p o w er sensor of an external p o w er meter. This mo de of op eration
requires a feedbac k connection from the p o w er meter to the EXT
ALC BNC lo cated on the sw ept signal generator. An asterisk next to
the k ey lab el indicates that this feature is active.

Description
The line switch (on/o switch) has t w o p ositions, o or standb y and
on. If line p o w er is connected to the sw ept signal generator and the
line switch is set to o, the sw ept signal generator is in the standb y
state (amb er LED on). Standb y pro vides p o w er to the in ternal
frequency standard o v en.
When line p o w er is connected and the line switch is set to on, the
sw ept signal generator p o w er supplies are enabled and a limited
self-test is initiated. The CPU self test is p erformed; p o w er supplies
and the fron t panel pro cessor are c hec k ed.
