Description
This softkey lets y ou comp ensate for system, cable, and w a v eguide
v ariations due to c hanges in frequency , b y linearly increasing or
decreasing p o w er output as the frequency increases. RF slop e v alues
may range from 02.50 to +2.50 dB p er GHz. The p o w er at the
b eginning of the sw eep equals the curren t p o w er lev el. An asterisk
next to the k ey lab el indicates that this feature is active.

functions in the fundamen tal units of dB/Hz, y ou program the SL
co de SLmdt, where m is 1 (on) or 0 (o ); d is the n umerical v alue
in dB/Hz, and t is either \DB" or the ASCI I LF terminator. F or
example, for a slop e of 1.5 dB/GHz use this pro cedure:
1. 1.5 dB/GHz = 1.5 dB/1,000,000,000 Hz
2. 1.5 dB/1E9 Hz = 1.5E-9 dB/Hz
3. The programming co de is \SL11.5E-9 DB"
