Description
This hardk ey allo ws access to the mo dulation functions. The
follo wing t yp es of mo dulation are a v ailable:
AM Amplitude mo dulation is accepted from an external
source at the AM connector. The AM can b e
scaled either linearly or exp onen tially . Sw ept signal
generators with Option 002 also ha v e the capabilit y
of in ternally syn thesizing amplitude mo dulation in
sine, square, triangle, ramp, or noise w a v eforms.
Deep AM (a distortion reduction mo de) can b e
selected for use when op erating at a deep amplitude
mo dulation lev el.
FM F requency mo dulation is accepted from an external
source at the FM connector. The FM can b e either
A C-or DC-coupled. Sw ept signal generators with
Option 002 also ha v e the capabilit y of in ternally
syn thesizing frequency mo dulation in sine, square,
triangle, ramp, or noise w a v eforms.
