76.1 for output imp edance, the v alue is rounded to 75 . If the
instrumen t setting can only assume in teger v alues, it automatically
rounds the v alue to an in teger. F or example, sending *ESE 10.123
is the same as sending *ESE 10 .

Extended Numeric P arameters. Most measuremen t related
subsystems use extended n umeric parameters to sp ecify ph ysical
quan tities. Extende d numeric parameters accept all n umeric
parameter v alues and other sp ecial v alues as w ell. All extended
n umeric parameters accept MAXimum and MINimum as v alues. Other
sp ecial v alues, suc h as UP and DOWN may b e a v ailable as do cumen ted
in the instrumen t's command dictionary . Note that MINimum and
MAXimum can b e used to set or query v alues. The query forms
are useful for determining the range of v alues allo w ed for a given
parameter.
In some instrumen ts, extended n umeric parameters accept
engineering unit suxes as part of the parameter v alue. Refer to the
command summary to see if this capabilit y exists.
Note that extended n umeric parameters are not used for common
commands or STATus subsystem commands.
