Description
Active markers are normally display ed as in tensied dots on a CR T
display . With

Ampl Markers selected, active markers are display ed
as amplitude spik es (an abrupt discon tinuit y in the sw eep trace).
The marker amplitude can b e v aried. The sw ept signal generator
displays: --> AMPLITUDE MARKER SIZE: XXXX dB . Where XXXX
represen ts an amplitude v alue. Use the rotary knob, the step k eys,
or the n umerical en try k eys with the dB(m) terminator k ey to
set the desired v alue. If a small c hange is required, the left and
right arrow k eys can b e used to underline the digit to b e c hanged.
Select

Ampl Markers again to return to the normal in tensied dot
represen tation. See \Sp ecications" for the range of acceptable
amplitude v alues. An asterisk next to the k ey lab el indicates this
feature is active.

exp onen tially . Amplitude mo dulation lets the RF output of the
sw ept signal generator b e con tinuously and exp onen tially v aried at
a rate determined b y the AM input or at a rate set b y softkey for
