RF Output Connector
The sw ept signal generator is equipp ed with a precision 3.5 mm male
connector (2.4 mm male connector on 40 GHz mo dels). The output
imp edance, SWR and other electrical c haracteristics are listed in
\Sp ecications". When making connections, carefully align the cen ter
conductor elemen ts, then rotate the kn urled barrel while the mating
comp onen t remains still. Tighten un til rm con tact is made.
T ak e care when w orking with either of these connectors. If this
connector is mec hanically degraded in an y w a y , high frequency losses
o ccur. Refer to Applic ation Note 326, Conne ctor Car e , for more
information.

Description
This hardk ey initiates con tinuous sw eep-retrace cycling of the
sw ept signal generator. The sw eep is initiated b y one of the trigger
functions, while the sw eep sp eed is con trolled b y the sw eep time
function. The green LED lo cated ab o v e this k ey lights when the
sw ept signal generator is p erforming an list, step, or analog sw eep.
The LED is o during all of the follo wing: retrace, band crossings,
phase lo c king at the start frequency of eac h new sw eep and during
man ual sw eeps.
