Refitting the lower end of the telescopic shaft

Note

Action

CAUTION

The telescopic shaft must be oriented correctly,
otherwise it is damaged. Always fit the narrow
shaft part up against the base unit.

Cleaning agent: Isopropanol.

Clean the friction shim and sealing ring with isop-
ropanol.

Friction shim: 3HAC060200-001.

Inspect the friction shim and sealing ring. Replace
if damaged.

Sealing ring: 3HAC060263-001

Fit the friction shim to the telescopic shaft lower
joint.

Install the sealing ring at the lower joint and guide
the telescopic shaft into place.

CAUTION

Hold the telescopic unit carefully, the tube may
slide and get damaged.
