The Data Bits screen is used to set the number of serial data bits to
either 7 or 8 (default).

In the Main Menu, choose Instrument Controls > Communication
Settings > Serial Settings > Data Bits .

The Parity screen is used to select the parity bit for the serial port to
None (default), Even, or Odd.
